I create paintings to stir the imagination. I'm inspired by everything I see and give it a surreal twist working in mixed mediums, collage, and textures.
After years of painting more traditional compositions I became enamored with the surrealists – Marcel Duchamp and Rene Magritte in particular. Their flamboyance and unique perception on art fascinated me and I just knew that that was the direction I wanted my work to take. This realization felt very liberating and my pieces developed in a new and wonderful way. I find populating my paintings with Hollywood stars from long ago an extension of my love for classic films.
